Keeping Qualified Teachers Teaching Using Adobe Connect

Posted by Brittany Gunter on Jul 17, 2015 4:16:00 PM

If you lived in a bigger city or suburb while in school you probably experienced the best teachers and a magnitude of interesting subjects. If you grew up in a rural area, for example, the likelihood of being exposed to those elective courses are slim.

I grew up in small-town Illinois and graduated with a class of 200. The only option we had for electives was cooking 101, and our language options consisted of just German and Spanish. Having known such limited options, I am proud to share that with Adobe Connect, companies around the world are utilizing this powerful tool to bring educational experiences to anyone with a computer and internet access.

Proximity Learning is one of those companies that is bringing certified and quality teachers into classrooms around 30 states in the United States. Their mission is to ensure every student has access to a "live" teacher no matter their location. With Proximity Learning schools never have to worry about overcrowding, canceling classes, or placing an unqualified educator in front of students again! Additionally, students have access to American Sign Language, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese and so much more.

What is a breakout room?

Breakout rooms are multiple sub-rooms within an Adobe Connect meeting where a host can assign participants to select rooms. Breakout rooms are useful when splitting up a large group into segmented smaller groups, helping to drive discussion and brainstorming to achieve the goal or objective of the online session.

Examples of why you would use a breakout room: Interviews, focus groups, discussion topics, workshop training, and group projects.
